Week 32: 8 months ago…

adita-picture-frame1Still 8 more weeks to go – due date remains June 4th! 😉
We’ve had a lot of visitors the last few weekends -brother,  Jaime and his girlfriend, Kristin came to see us over a weekend in mid March.  Game night with old friends and doing touristy things around Atlanta was a ton of fun. At a cool Artisans Market held at Atlantic Station Jaime helped us pick out this really amazing arrangement of photos to spell ADITA. It is now proudly hung above her crib! So yes, we are passing on the name, Ada. She will be the fourth generation Ada and we’re so excited! We have also selected her middle name – Nick’s mom’s middle name is perfect and fits so beautifully! Can’t wait for us all to meet Ada Leola Bazin!construction-time

The following weekend Ada’s parents came for four days – they helped us get the baby crib, do some yard work and stocked our fridge! Parents are awesome! The crib was our gift from Ada’s grandparents – Nana and Pito. THANK YOU SO MUCH NANA AND PITO!! We love it!! It’s built with Chilean wood so will last Adita her lifetime and this model was discontinued so we got a great deal from Georgia Baby! Mom and Dad also provided the baby bedding set as their gift for Adita -it is so beautiful! We are so grateful – thank you mom and dad!

ada-prego-coachThis past weekend was a big weekend for Ada as she coached her club team, recruited and coached her Georgia State team – all while being 8 months pregnant! Busy! Needless to say she has a prenatal massage scheduled for this Wednesday! Our latest visitor stayed for Friday night- best friend, Mika stayed with us while she was recruiting at the same big tournament downtown. We’ve loved sharing our house so much already!

By now, Adita weighs 3 lbs 4 ounces and is about 17 inches long, taking up a lot of space in the uterus.  She’ll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb.  She now has toenails, fingernails, and the latest ultrasound we had showed Adita already had quite a bit of hair! The doctor wanted to check on her because my belly was measuring a little small. I guess I’m carrying her well because she is actually one week ahead of the average growth at this point! Maybe she’ll be tall!
